It helps the lining of the uterus or womb to clot during periods and thus reduces heavy bleeding. It is advisable to use the medicine as prescribed for it to be effective. Also, you can do yoga or meditation to reduce stress and divert your mind during those days. In Treatment of Menstrual pain Abdotic Plus Tablet relieves the pain due to muscle cramps during menstrual cycles (periods). It blocks the pain signals, relaxes the muscles and prevents sudden contractions (spasms) of muscles. This treats your pain and discomfort. You may also use a heating pad, take a hot water shower, avoid stress and try mild exercise for easing out the pain.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Abdotic Plus Tablet is to be taken with food.

Abdotic Plus Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Tranexamic Acid and Mefenamic Acid. Tranexamic Acid is an anti-fibrinolytic. It works by preventing the breakdown of blood clots to control excessive bleeding during periods. Mefenamic Acid is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).

Alcohol

UNSAFE - It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Abdotic Plus Tablet.

Pregnancy

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Abdotic Plus Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Abdotic Plus Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Driving

UNSAFE - Abdotic Plus Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

CAUTION - Abdotic Plus Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Abdotic Plus Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Abdotic Plus Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

Liver

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Abdotic Plus Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Abdotic Plus Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Abdotic Plus Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
