In Hypertension (high blood pressure) Acedip Tablet relaxes the blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily around your body. This lowers your blood pressure and reduces your risk of having a stroke, a heart attack, or kidney problems in the future. You do not usually feel any direct benefit from taking this medicine, but it works in the long term to keep you well. You should take it regularly as prescribed for this medicine to be most effective, even if you feel better.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Acedip Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Acedip Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Amlodipine and lisinopril which lower blood pressure effectively. It works by relaxing blood vessels so that blood flows more smoothly and the heart can pump blood more efficiently.
UNSAFE - It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Acedip Tablet.
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Acedip Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Acedip Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
UNSAFE - Acedip Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Acedip Tablet may cause side effects such as dizziness, headaches, nausea or tiredness, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.
CAUTION - Acedip Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Acedip Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Regular monitoring of blood pressure is recommended for better dose adjustment.
CAUTION - Acedip Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Acedip Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Inform your doctor if you develop any signs and symptoms of jaundice while taking this medicine.
If you miss a dose of Acedip Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
