Atherochek 5 Tablet is a combination of five medicines: Atorvastatin, Methylcobalamin, Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) and Folic Acid. Atorvastatin is a lipid-lowering medicine which works by blocking an enzyme (HMG-CoA-reductase) that is required to make cholesterol. It thus lowers "bad" cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides and raises "good" cholesterol (HDL). Methylcobalamin, Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) and Folic Acid provide essential nutrients.
Alcohol
UNSAFE - It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Atherochek 5 Tablet.
Pregnancy
UNSAFE - Atherochek 5 Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Seek your doctor's advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby.
Breast feeding
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Atherochek 5 Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Driving
SAFE - Atherochek 5 Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Atherochek 5 Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Atherochek 5 Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver

If you miss a dose of Atherochek 5 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
