Atorvastatin is a lipid-lowering medicine which works by blocking an enzyme (HMG-CoA-reductase) that is required to make cholesterol. It thus lowers "bad" cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides and raises "good" cholesterol (HDL). Methylcobalamin, Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) and Folic Acid provide essential nutrients.
UNSAFE - It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Atherochek 5 Tablet.
UNSAFE - Atherochek 5 Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Seek your doctor's advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby.
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Atherochek 5 Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
