Cough with mucus

In Cough with mucus Beritus L Syrup gives relief from cough with mucus. It helps to loosen thick mucus, reduces its stickiness and thus makes it easier to cough out. This makes breathing easy and reduces the frequency of coughing. Beritus L Syrup will also relieve allergy symptoms like watery eyes, sneezing, runny nose or throat irritation. Along with medications, drink enough luke warm water and gargle with warm salt water to ease the symptoms.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Beritus L Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Beritus L Syrup is a combination of four medicines: Ambroxol, Guaifenesin, Levocetirizine and Menthol which relieve cough with mucus. Ambroxol is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Guaifenesin is an expectorant which works by decreasing the stickiness of airway secretions and helps in their removal from the airways. Levocetirizine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Menthol is an organic compound which produces a sensation of coolness and relieves minor throat irritation.

Alcohol

UNSAFE - Beritus L Syrup may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.

Pregnancy

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Beritus L Syrup may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding

Driving

UNSAFE - Beritus L Syrup may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Beritus L Syrup is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Beritus L Syrup may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Liver

If you miss a dose of Beritus L Syrup, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
