Carcet 150mg/5mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Diethylcarbamazine and Cetirizine which treat filariasis. Diethylcarbamazine works by decreasing the muscular activity and causing paralysis of these worms while Cetirizine decreases the raised eosinophil count (white blood cells) and controls allergic symptoms like cough and breathlessness.
Alcohol
UNSAFE - Carcet 150mg/5mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.
Pregnancy

CAUTION - Carcet 150mg/5mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Carcet 150mg/5mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. May cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.
Liver
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Carcet 150mg/5mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Carcet 150mg/5mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
If you miss a dose of Carcet 150mg/5mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
