Casrol L Syrup is a combination medicine used in the treatment of cough with mucus. It thins mucus in the nose, windpipe and lungs making it easier to cough out. It also relieves allergic symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing and also relieves minor throat irritation.Casrol L Syrup is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you discontinue treatment prematurely, there is a risk of symptom recurrence and worsening of your condition. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.The most common side effects are nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, dryness in the mouth, stomach discomfort, headache, rash, and fatigue. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. This medicine can also cause sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can make sleepiness worse.Never support self-medication or recommend your medicine to another person. It is beneficial to have plenty of fluids while taking this medication. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.

This makes breathing easy and reduces the frequency of coughing. Casrol L Syrup will also relieve allergy symptoms like watery eyes, sneezing, runny nose or throat irritation. Along with medications, drink enough luke warm water and gargle with warm salt water to ease the symptoms.

How Casrol L Syrup works Casrol L Syrup is a combination of four medicines: Ambroxol, Guaifenesin, Levocetirizine and Menthol which relieve cough with mucus.
Alcohol
Not Safe: Consuming alcohol with Casrol L Syrup may lead to excessive drowsiness.
Pregnancy
Casrol L Syrup may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.
Breast feeding

Driving

If a dose of Casrol L Syrup is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C
Casrol L Syrup is prescribed to get relief from cough with mucus. Drink warm water to help loosen the congestion and lubricate your throat while you are taking this medication. Take exactly as directed by your doctor or on the label. Do not increase the dosage or take for longer than is recommended. Use a proper measuring cup or spoon to measure the dosage. If you are drowsy after taking Casrol L Syrup, you should not drive or operate any machinery. In general, most coughs do not last more than 2 weeks. If your cough does last longer than this then its better to see your doctor. Inform your doctor if you have a history of stomach ulcers or asthma. Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medications for e.g. anti-depressants. Casrol L Syrup should not be given to kids.
