In Treatment of Bacterial infections Cefcol AZ Kid Tablet is an antibiotic medicine given to children for the treatment of a wide range of bacterial infections. These may include middle ear infections, sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, pneumonia, skin and soft infections, abdominal infections, and urinary tract infections. This medicine works by inhibiting the growth of infection-causing bacteria by stopping them from multiplying. As a result, the infection starts clearing within 3 to 5 days of regular dosing. However, continue giving the medicine as prescribed by the doctor because stopping the medicine abruptly may worsen your child?s condition or bring back the infection. In Treatment of Typhoid fever Typhoid fever is an infection that spreads through the intake of contaminated food and water. Children with typhoid fever requiring no serious medical attention can be well managed with Cefcol AZ Kid Tablet at home because of its excellent activity against organisms causing typhoid fever.

Cefcol AZ Kid Tablet contains two antibiotics, cefixime, and azithromycin. Cefixime works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) while Azithromycin interferes with the protein synthesis of bacteria. As a result, the growth of infection-causing bacteria gets controlled and the spread of the infection is successfully restricted.
