Typhoid fever | Treatment of Bacterial infections

In Typhoid fever Typhoid fever spreads through the intake of contaminated food and water. Children who have typhoid and do not require hospital admission can be well managed with CEFYFLOX-O SUSP at home because of its excellent activity against organisms that cause typhoid fever. In Treatment of Bacterial infections CEFYFLOX-O SUSP is a combination of two different antibiotics that work together, in different ways, to treat various bacterial infections. Cefixime works by stopping the growth of bacteria and kills them. Ofloxacin prevents multiplication and repair of infection causing bacteria and prevents further spread of the infection. This combination medicine can be used to treat many different bacterial infections such as ear, sinus, throat, lung, urinary tract, skin and soft tissues. It usually makes you feel better within a few days, but you should continue taking it as prescribed even when you feel better to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Allergy']

CEFYFLOX-O SUSP contains two antibiotics. Cefixime works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) while ofloxacin directly interacts with the genetic material of bacteria. As a consequence, the infection-causing bacteria stop growing further and the spread of the infection is successfully arrested.

Kidney

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - CEFYFLOX-O SUSP is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of CEFYFLOX-O SUSP is recommended. However, consult with your child€™s doctor before giving CEFYFLOX-O SUSP to your child in case of a severe form of liver disease.

Liver

CAUTION - CEFYFLOX-O SUSP should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of CEFYFLOX-O SUSP may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
