Hypertension (high blood pressure)

In Hypertension (high blood pressure) Cindalin-CH 5mg/12.5mg Tablet relaxes the blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily around your body. It also eliminates excess water from the body and increases urine output. This lowers your blood pressure and reduces your risk of having a stroke, a heart attack, or kidney problems in the future. You do not usually feel any direct benefit from taking this medicine, but it works in the long term to keep you well. You should take it regularly as prescribed for this medicine to be most effective, even if you feel better.

The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them. Cindalin-CH 5mg/12.5mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Cilnidipine and chlorthalidone which lower blood pressure effectively. Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker which relaxes blood vessels and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic which removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body by increasing the amount of urine produced. Over time it also works by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow.

Alcohol

Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Cindalin-CH 5mg/12.5mg Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.

Pregnancy

Seek medical advice from your doctor: Cindalin-CH 5mg/12.5mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.

Breast feeding

Driving

Not Safe: Cindalin-CH 5mg/12.5mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

Caution Advised: Cindalin-CH 5mg/12.5mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Cindalin-CH 5mg/12.5mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. Use of Cindalin-CH 5mg/12.5mg Tablet is not recommended in these patients.

Liver

Caution Advised: Cindalin-CH 5mg/12.5mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Cindalin-CH 5mg/12.5mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. Use of Cindalin-CH 5mg/12.5mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.

If a dose of Cindalin-CH 5mg/12.5mg Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

Cindalin-CH 5mg/12.5mg Tablet helps in the treatment of high blood pressure. It also lowers your risk of stroke and heart attack. Take it in the morning with breakfast to avoid getting up at night to urinate. It�may cause dizziness or sleepiness. Don't drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you. It may cause you to feel lightheaded or weak especially when you stand up (orthostatic hypotension).� Rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down. It may cause dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids and Inform your doctor if you develop extreme thirst, muscle weakness or very dry mouth. Your doctor may regularly monitor your blood pressure, kidney function and the levels of salts such as potassium in your blood while you are taking this medicine.
