In Treatment of Menstrual pain Colispas Syrup is a combination medicine that helps reduce pain and cramps during periods. It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms) and blocks the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation, thereby relieving cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort. This medicine does not affect the amount or the duration of menstrual bleeding. Take this medicine as per the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. In Treatment of Abdominal cramp Colispas Syrup gives relief from abdominal pain and cramps. It works best if they are used when the first signs of pain occur. It relaxes the muscles in the stomach and intestine and stops sudden muscle contractions or spasms. Colispas Syrup also blocks the activity of certain chemicals that causes pain. Take it as prescribed by the doctor for maximum benefits.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Colispas Syrup is to be taken with food.
Colispas Syrup is a combination of two medicines: Dicyclomine and Mefenamic Acid. Dicyclomine is an anticholinergic which works by relaxing the muscles in the stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms), thereby relieving cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort. Mefenamic Acid is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause abdominal pain and inflammation (swelling). Together, they relieve menstrual cramps and stomach cramps.
