Cydil Plus Syrup is a combination of two medicines: Choline and Cyproheptadine. Choline is a bile acid binding agent. It removes bile acids from the body. Cyproheptadine works by reducing the effect of a chemical messenger (serotonin) in the hypothalamus, a part of the brain which regulates appetite.

Unless Cydil Plus Syrup is used to lower the prolactin levels in the mother, it should be avoided as it might interfere with breastfeeding.

Driving

UNSAFE - Cydil Plus Syrup may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Cydil Plus Syrup may cause dizziness, sedation, and hypotension in elderly patients. This may affect your ability to drive.

Kidney

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Cydil Plus Syrup is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Cydil Plus Syrup may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Liver
