In Treatment of Bacterial infections Deaxime-LB 100mg Tablet DT is an antibiotic medicine. It is commonly given to children to treat a wide range of bacterial infections, including infections of the eyes, middle ear, nose, throat, lungs, skin, bone and joints, gastrointestinal tract, and urinary tract. This medicine inhibits the growth of infection-causing bacteria by stopping them from multiplying. Children usually start showing improvement within 3 to 5 days of the regular dosing. You must continue giving the medicine even after seeing this improvement because stopping the medicine abruptly may worsen your child?s condition or cause infection recurrence.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Vomiting, Abdominal pain, Allergy']

Deaxime-LB 100mg Tablet DT is a combination of two medicines: Cefixime and Lactobacillus. Cefixime is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body. Lactobacillus is a live microorganism that restores the balance of good bacteria in the intestine that may get upset with antibiotic use or due to intestinal infections.

Kidney

CAUTION - Deaxime-LB 100mg Tablet DT should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Deaxime-LB 100mg Tablet DT may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Deaxime-LB 100mg Tablet DT is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment of Deaxime-LB 100mg Tablet DT is recommended. However, consult with your child€™s doctor before giving this medicine to your child in case of a severe form of liver disease.
