Breast feeding

Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby. Adverse effects are apparently rare, two potential problems exist for nursing infant: modification of bowel flora, direct effects on the infant such as allergy/sensitisation.

Kidney
