How Fludecon Capsule works Fludecon Capsule is a combination of three medicines: Paracetamol, Phenylpropanolamine and Chlorpheniramine Maleate which relieve cold symptoms. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). It blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and fever. Phenylpropanolamine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing.

Alcohol

Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Fludecon Capsule as it is deemed unsafe.

Pregnancy

Fludecon Capsule may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.

Breast feeding

Driving

Liver

If a dose of Fludecon Capsule is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Fludecon Capsule is prescribed to get relief from symptoms of common cold. Take exactly as directed by your doctor or on the label. Do not increase the dosage or take for longer than is recommended. Call your doctor if your symptoms have not improved within seven days of treatment. Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medications for cold. Along with taking Fludecon Capsule do the following simple tips at home to get relief:Steam inhalation.Gargling with warm saltwater.Apply vapor rubs on chest, back if needed. Take enough rest.Take warm food and fluid only. Ensure adequate fluid intake.Advise hygiene measures to reduce spread: frequent hand-washing, avoiding sharing towels, pillowcases, etc.
