Gdcit Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat dry cough. It thins the mucus in the nose and windpipe, making it easier to cough out. It also relieves allergy symptoms like watery eyes, sneezing, runny nose, and throat irritation. Gdcit Tablet is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine. The most common side effects are nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, stomach pain, headache, rash, fatigue, and dryness in the mouth. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. How it works
Gdcit Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Guaifenesin, dextromethorphan and cetirizine which relieve dry cough. Guaifenesin is an expectorant which decreases the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and help in its removal from the airways. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain. Cetirizine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing.

Pregnancy

Kidney

Liver

What If You Forget to take Gdcit Tablet?
If you miss a dose of Gdcit Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
