How to use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Hopecard AM 5 mg/2.5 mg Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How it works
Hopecard AM 5 mg/2.5 mg Capsule is a combination of two medicines: Amlodipine and ramipril which lower blood pressure effectively. It works by relaxing blood vessels so that blood flows more smoothly and the heart can pump blood more efficiently.
UNSAFE - It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Hopecard AM 5 mg/2.5 mg Capsule.
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Hopecard AM 5 mg/2.5 mg Capsule is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Hopecard AM 5 mg/2.5 mg Capsule is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
UNSAFE - Hopecard AM 5 mg/2.5 mg Capsule may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Hopecard AM 5 mg/2.5 mg Capsule may cause side effects such as dizziness, headaches, nausea or tiredness, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.
CAUTION - Hopecard AM 5 mg/2.5 mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Hopecard AM 5 mg/2.5 mg Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Regular monitoring of blood pressure is recommended for dose adjustment.
CAUTION - Hopecard AM 5 mg/2.5 mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Hopecard AM 5 mg/2.5 mg Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Inform your doctor if you develop any signs and symptoms of jaundice while taking this medicine.
What if I forget to take it?
If you miss a dose of Hopecard AM 5 mg/2.5 mg Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
