Symptoms are related to conditions that arise from iron overload such as high blood sugar levels (diabetes), darkening of the skin, abnormal heart rhythm or arthritis. By using Kelfer 250 Capsule, this excess of iron can be decreased to safe levels by removing it from the body through stools. This helps to reduce the risk of organ damage and prevents further complications. Take Kelfer 250 Capsule as prescribed by the doctor to get the maximum benefit.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Kelfer 250 Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Kelfer 250 Capsule traps and removes excess iron which is then excreted mainly in the stools. This reduces the risk of organ damage.

Alcohol

Pregnancy

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Kelfer 250 Capsule is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Kelfer 250 Capsule is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Driving

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - It is not known whether Kelfer 250 Capsule alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.

Kidney

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - There is limited information available on the use of Kelfer 250 Capsule in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor. Regular monitoring of kidney function tests is advised in these patients while taking this medicine.

Liver

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - There is limited information available on the use of Kelfer 250 Capsule in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor. Regular monitoring of liver function tests is advised in patients with liver disease while taking this medicine.

If you miss a dose of Kelfer 250 Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
