In Cough with mucus Kofision AP Syrup gives relief from cough with mucus. It helps to loosen thick mucus, reduces its stickiness and thus makes it easier to cough out. This makes breathing easy and reduces the frequency of coughing. Kofision AP Syrup will also relieve allergy symptoms like watery eyes, sneezing, runny nose or throat irritation. Along with medications, drink enough luke warm water and gargle with warm salt water to ease the symptoms.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Kofision AP Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Kofision AP Syrup is a combination of four medicines: Ambroxol, Guaifenesin, Levocetirizine and Menthol which relieve cough with mucus. Ambroxol is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Guaifenesin is an expectorant which works by decreasing the stickiness of airway secretions and helps in their removal from the airways. Levocetirizine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Menthol is an organic compound which produces a sensation of coolness and relieves minor throat irritation.
