Dry cough

In Dry cough A dry cough is a cough where no phlegm or mucus is produced. It may cause a tickling sensation or itching in the throat and may be due to cold, flu, allergies or throat irritants. KUFMA DX SYRUP suppresses severe dry cough and gives you relief from an itchy throat. It usually starts to work within a few minutes and the effects can last up to several hours. Along with taking KUFMA DX SYRUP, gargling with warm salt water and having ginger or honey can help you manage dry cough.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Upset stomach, Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), High blood pressure, Palpitations']

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. KUFMA DX SYRUP may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

KUFMA DX SYRUP is a combination of two medicines: Phenylpropanolamine and Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide. Phenylpropanolamine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain.

Alcohol

Pregnancy

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - KUFMA DX SYRUP may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Information regarding the use of KUFMA DX SYRUP during breastfeeding is not available. Please consult your doctor.

Driving

UNSAFE - KUFMA DX SYRUP may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.

Kidney

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - KUFMA DX SYRUP is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of KUFMA DX SYRUP may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Liver

UNSAFE - KUFMA DX SYRUP is probably unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of KUFMA DX SYRUP, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
