In Treatment of Severe bacterial infections Lizospey 400mg Tablet DT works by killing bacteria which can cause serious infections. It is used to treat many different types of bacterial infections such as infections of lungs (pneumonia), skin, and soft tissues. This medicine usually makes you feel better very quickly but you should continue taking it as prescribed even when you feel better to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Headache, Nausea, Decreased blood cells (red cells, white cells, and platelets), Diarrhea']

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Dissolve it in a glass of water before taking it. Lizospey 400mg Tablet DT may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time. Avoid Lizospey 400mg Tablet DT with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.

Lizospey 400mg Tablet DT is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

Alcohol

UNSAFE - It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Lizospey 400mg Tablet DT.

Pregnancy

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Lizospey 400mg Tablet DT may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Lizospey 400mg Tablet DT is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Driving

UNSAFE - Lizospey 400mg Tablet DT may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Lizospey 400mg Tablet DT is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Lizospey 400mg Tablet DT is recommended. However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.

Liver

CAUTION - Lizospey 400mg Tablet DT should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Lizospey 400mg Tablet DT may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Limited information is available on the use of Lizospey 400mg Tablet DT in these patients. No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.

If you miss a dose of Lizospey 400mg Tablet DT, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
