In Pain relief Mefera 500 mg/450 mg Tablet is a combination of medicines used to treat aches and pains. It blocks chemical messengers in the brain that tell us we have pain. It is effective in relieving pain caused by headache, migraine, nerve pain, toothache, sore throat, period (menstrual) pains, arthritis and muscle aches. Take it as it is prescribed to get the most benefit. Do not take more or for longer than needed as that can be dangerous. In general, you should take the lowest dose that works, for the shortest possible time. In Treatment of Fever Mefera 500 mg/450 mg Tablet is also used to reduce a high temperature (fever). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever. It may be prescribed alone or in combination with another medicine. You should take it regularly as advised by your doctor.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Mefera 500 mg/450 mg Tablet is to be taken with food.

Mefera 500 mg/450 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Mefenamic Acid and Paracetamol. It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever, pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).

Alcohol

UNSAFE - It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Mefera 500 mg/450 mg Tablet.

Pregnancy

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Mefera 500 mg/450 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Mefera 500 mg/450 mg Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.

Driving

UNSAFE - Mefera 500 mg/450 mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

CAUTION - Mefera 500 mg/450 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Mefera 500 mg/450 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Mefera 500 mg/450 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

Liver

CAUTION - Mefera 500 mg/450 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Mefera 500 mg/450 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. However, the use of Mefera 500 mg/450 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.

If you miss a dose of Mefera 500 mg/450 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
