Cough with mucus

In Cough with mucus New Ambrodil Plus Syrup gives relief from cough with mucus. It helps to loosen thick mucus, reduces its stickiness and makes it easier to cough out. This makes breathing easy and reduces the frequency of coughing. New Ambrodil Plus Syrup will also relieve allergy symptoms like watery eyes, sneezing, runny nose or throat irritation. New Ambrodil Plus Syrup usually starts to work within a few minutes and the effects can last up to several hours. Along with medications, drink enough luke warm water and gargle with warm salt water to ease the symptoms.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. New Ambrodil Plus Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

New Ambrodil Plus Syrup is a combination of four medicines: Ambroxol, guaifenesin, pseudoephedrine and chlorpheniramine which relieve cough with mucus. Ambroxol is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Guaifenesin is an expectorant which works by decreasing the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and helps in their removal from the airways. Psuedoephedrine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Chlorpheniramine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing.

Alcohol

UNSAFE - It is unsafe to consume alcohol with New Ambrodil Plus Syrup.

Pregnancy

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - New Ambrodil Plus Syrup may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding

Driving

UNSAFE - New Ambrodil Plus Syrup may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - New Ambrodil Plus Syrup is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of New Ambrodil Plus Syrup may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor. Use of New Ambrodil Plus Syrup may cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.

Liver

CAUTION - New Ambrodil Plus Syrup should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of New Ambrodil Plus Syrup may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Limited information is available on the use of New Ambrodil Plus Syrup in these patients.

If you miss a dose of New Ambrodil Plus Syrup, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
