In Treatment of Diarrhea Diarrhea is an increase in the frequency of bowel movements or loose watery bowel movements. It can most commonly occur due to an infection of the digestive tract. Nortis-TZ Tablet helps to treat diarrhea that is caused due to bacteria or parasitic worm infections. This medicine can relieve frequent loose motions and also help you to stay well by preventing them from coming back. You need to take this medicine regularly to get the most out of it and you should drink plenty of fluids while taking it to make sure you stay hydrated. In Treatment of Dysentery Dysentery or amoebic dysentery is a parasitic infection of the intestines that occurs mostly due to intake of contaminated food or water. The symptoms include loose stools (diarrhea), stomach cramps and stomach pain. Nortis-TZ Tablet helps to treat this infection by killing the infection causing parasites. It relieves these symptoms and also helps you to stay well by preventing them from coming back. You need to take this medicine regularly to get the most out of it and you should drink plenty of fluids while taking it to make sure you stay hydrated.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Dryness in mouth, Metallic taste, Headache']

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Nortis-TZ Tablet is to be taken with food.

Nortis-TZ Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics: Norfloxacin and Tinidazole. Norfloxacin works by preventing the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing the bacteria. Tinidazole kills parasites and anaerobic bacteria that cause infections by damaging their DNA. Together, they treat your infection effectively.

Alcohol

UNSAFE - Consuming alcohol while taking Nortis-TZ Tablet may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heart beat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure (Disulfiram reaction).

Pregnancy

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Nortis-TZ Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Nortis-TZ Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Driving

UNSAFE - Nortis-TZ Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Nortis-TZ Tablet may make you feel drowsy or gives you problems with coordination or sensation (e.g. numbness or weakness). This may affect your driving ability.

Kidney

CAUTION - Nortis-TZ Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Nortis-TZ Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Nortis-TZ Tablet is not advised in patients with severe kidney disease.

Liver

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Nortis-TZ Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Nortis-TZ Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Nortis-TZ Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
