Your child may start to feel better after getting treated for a few days to a week. However, do not extend the course or stop the medicine by yourself without consulting your child�s doctor. How Ofpure OR Oral Suspension works Ofpure OR Oral Suspension contains three medicines Ofloxacin, Ornidazole, and Racecadotril. Together, these ingredients prove effective against diarrhea and dysentery. Racecadotril is an enkephalinase inhibitor that has anti-secretory effects. Simply put, this particular active ingredient reduces the secretion of water and electrolytes from the intestine. This helps reduce the amount of fluid lost from the body in diarrhea. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and causing infection. Ornidazole is also an antibiotic that kills other microorganisms in addition to bacteria by damaging their DNA.

Alcohol

Unsafe: It is unsafe to consume alcohol while taking Ofpure OR Oral Suspension , as it may lead to symptoms such as flushing, increased heart rate, nausea, thirst, chest pain, and low blood pressure, known as a Disulfiram reaction.

Give your child plenty of fluids to replenish water and mineral loss. Ofpure OR Oral Suspension may cause an altered taste. Eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help. Do not mix Ofpure OR Oral Suspension along with any other herbal or ayurvedic medicine as it can harm. Do not give Ofpure OR Oral Suspension if your child has persistent uncontrolled vomiting as this medicine will not be absorbed.
