Omelam Tablet is a combination of two medicines used to treat anxiety and insomnia. It relaxes the nerves in the brain and ensures sound sleep. It also prevents excess acid formation in the stomach, indigestion, and heartburn that may be associated with anxiety or lack of sleep. Omelam Tablet may be taken with or without food. However, it is advisable to take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. How it works
Omelam Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Alprazolam and Omeprazole. Alprazolam is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of a chemical messenger (GABA) which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain. Omeprazole is a proton-pump inhibitor which reduces the amount of acid in the stomach which helps relieve indigestion and heartburn.
