You can help the medicine work better by keeping the affected areas clean, making sure they are dry, and washing your hands before and after treating the infection. It is generally well-tolerated with little or no side effects. However, it may cause irritation, itching, and burning sensation immediately following application. These side effects are temporary and usually subside on their own. Inform your doctor if they persist for a longer duration. Although medicines used on the ear are not normally affected by other medicines, you should let your doctor know if you are taking any other medicine to be safe. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, ask the advice of your doctor before using the medicine.
