How to use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Prostado 0.4mg Tablet ER is to be taken with food.
How it works
Prostado 0.4mg Tablet ER is an alpha blocker. It works by relaxing the muscles around the bladder exit and prostate gland so urine is passed more easily. This helps empty the bladder completely and reduces the need to pass urine frequently or urgently in BPH.
UNSAFE - Prostado 0.4mg Tablet ER may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Prostado 0.4mg Tablet ER is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Prostado 0.4mg Tablet ER is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby. Prostado 0.4mg Tablet ER is not indicated for use in women.
SAFE - Prostado 0.4mg Tablet ER does not usually affect your ability to drive.
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Prostado 0.4mg Tablet ER is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Prostado 0.4mg Tablet ER is recommended. However, limited information is available on the use of Prostado 0.4mg Tablet ER in patients with end stage kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
CAUTION - Prostado 0.4mg Tablet ER should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Prostado 0.4mg Tablet ER may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
What if I forget to take it?
If you miss a dose of Prostado 0.4mg Tablet ER, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
