In Treatment of Peptic ulcer disease Peptic ulcer disease is a condition in which painful sores or ulcers develop in the inner lining of the stomach or small intestine. It occurs mainly due to bacterial infection or excess acids produced in the stomach. Pylokit-AC Kit helps you manage the symptoms of peptic ulcer disease such as stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, bloating, change in appetite. It also reduces heartburn (burning sensation in the chest) and indigestion associated with it. You need to keep taking the medicine as it is prescribed for it to be effective, even if the symptoms seem to disappear.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Diarrhea, Vomiting, Stomach pain, Taste change, Flatulence, Headache, Rash']

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Pylokit-AC Kit is to be taken empty stomach.

Pylokit-AC Kit is a combination of three medicines: Amoxycillin, Clarithromycin and Esomeprazole, which treats stomach/intestinal ulcers caused by the bacteria. Amoxycillin is an antibiotic which works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body. Clarithromycin is also an antibiotic which stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by the bacteria to carry out vital functions. Together, they eradicate your infection effectively. Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) which reduces the amount of acid in the stomach and relieves acid-related indigestion and heartburn.

Alcohol

CAUTION - Caution is advised when consuming alcohol with Pylokit-AC Kit. Please consult your doctor.

Pregnancy

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Pylokit-AC Kit may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Pylokit-AC Kit is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.

Driving

UNSAFE - Pylokit-AC Kit may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Pylokit-AC Kit can have side effects and the symptoms (such as allergic reactions, dizziness and convulsions) may make you unfit to drive.

Kidney

CAUTION - Pylokit-AC Kit should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Pylokit-AC Kit may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Pylokit-AC Kit is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Pylokit-AC Kit may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Pylokit-AC Kit, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
