Peptic ulcer disease

In Peptic ulcer disease Peptic ulcer disease is a condition in which painful sores or ulcers develop in the inner lining of the stomach or gut (intestine). Pylokit Kit reduces the amount of acid your stomach makes which prevents further damage to the ulcer as it heals naturally. You may be given other medicines along with this medicine depending on what caused the ulcer. You need to keep taking Pylokit Kit as prescribed by the doctor for it to be effective, even if the symptoms seem to disappear.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Nausea, Vomiting, Stomach pain, Indigestion, Tiredness, Headache, Dizziness, Dryness in mouth, Metallic taste']

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label before use. Pylokit Kit is to be taken empty stomach.

Pylokit Kit is a combination of three medicines: Tinidazole, Clarithromycin and Lansoprazole. Tinidazole is an antibiotic which kills the bacteria and other microorganisms that cause infections by damaging their DNA. Clarithromycin is also an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by the bacteria to carry out vital functions. Together, they treat your infection effectively. Lansoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) which reduces the amount of acid in the stomach and prevents acid-related indigestion and ulcers.

Alcohol

CAUTION - Caution is advised when consuming alcohol with Pylokit Kit. Please consult your doctor.

Pregnancy

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Pylokit Kit may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Pylokit Kit is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Driving

UNSAFE - Pylokit Kit may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Pylokit Kit may make you feel drowsy or gives you problems with coordination or sensation (e.g. numbness or weakness). This may affect your driving ability.

Kidney

CAUTION - Pylokit Kit should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Pylokit Kit may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Pylokit Kit is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Pylokit Kit may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Pylokit Kit, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
