Q Coril Syrup

Cough

In Cough Q Coril Syrup gives relief from cough by loosening thick mucus and making it easier to cough it out. It also makes it easier for air to move in and out of your airways. This reduces the frequency of coughing and makes you feel better. Apart from this, Q Coril Syrup helps soothe your throat and gives relief from irritation. Along with medications, drink enough lukewarm water and gargle with warm salt water to ease the symptoms.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Allergic reaction, Sleepiness, Dizziness, Impaired coordination, Thickened respiratory tract secretions']

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Q Coril Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Q Coril Syrup is a combination of four medicines: Citric Acid, Diphenhydramine, Ammonium Chloride and Menthol. Citric Acid is a natural substance that helps relieve mild cough. Diphenhydramine is an antiallergic which relieves cough associated with allergies by blocking a chemical messenger, histamine. Ammonium Chloride is an expectorant which works by decreasing the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and helps in its removal from the airways. Menthol produces a cooling sensation and relieves throat irritation.

Alcohol

UNSAFE - Q Coril Syrup may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.

Pregnancy

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Q Coril Syrup may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding

Driving

UNSAFE - Q Coril Syrup may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Q Coril Syrup is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Q Coril Syrup may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Liver

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Q Coril Syrup is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Q Coril Syrup may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Q Coril Syrup, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
