It is less likely than some other medicines to cause high blood pressure or changes in your sodium or potassium levels. This medicine works in your nose to block the effects of substances like pollen, dust mites and mold that can trigger allergic reactions. This will make it easier for you to go about your daily activities without worrying so much about getting an allergic reaction. It may not work straight away, so use it regularly as prescribed to get the most benefit. If you see no improvement after a week, talk to your doctor.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. Use this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Blow your nose gently. Insert the bottle tip into one nostril and close the other nostril. Keep the head upright. Breath in while pressing the bottle. Repeat in other nostril.

Rhinocort 64mcg Aquanase is a steroid. It gets absorbed into the cells of the inner surface of the nose and works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers that cause inflammation (swelling) and allergies. This relieves blocked or runny nose, sneezing and sinus discomfort.

Breast feeding

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Rhinocort 64mcg Aquanase is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
