Allergic conditions

In Dry cough A dry cough, also known as non-productive cough, is a cough where no phlegm or mucus is produced. This is irritating, usually associated with a tickly throat and may be caused due to cold, flu, allergies or throat irritants. Riakof Syrup suppresses dry, hacking coughs. It will help you carry out your daily activities more easily. This medicine is safe and effective. Riakof Syrup usually starts to work within a few minutes and the effects can last up to several hours. Take it as prescribed by the doctor. Do not stop using it unless you are advised to by your doctor.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Nausea, Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), Palpitations']

Phenylpropanolamine belongs to a class of medications called nasal decongestants. It stimulates receptors on blood vessels in the nose and sinuses leading to its constriction and reduction in blood flow thereby relieving congestion. .

Pregnancy

Breast feeding

Driving

UNSAFE - Riakof Syrup may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.

Kidney

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Riakof Syrup is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Riakof Syrup may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Liver

UNSAFE - Riakof Syrup is probably unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Riakof Syrup, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
