NULL contains S-Amlodipine, which is the active (chiral) form of amlodipine. It belongs to the class of medications known as calcium channel blockers (CCBs). It is primarily used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and certain types of chest pain (angina). By relaxing the blood vessels, it improves blood flow and reduces the workload on the heart, helping to prevent long-term complications like heart attack and stroke.

NULL is a prescription medication that belongs to the class of calcium channel blockers. It is unique because it contains only the S-isomer of amlodipine, the part of the molecule responsible for lowering blood pressure. In standard amlodipine, the R-isomer is largely inactive. By using only the active S-isomer, NULL can provide the same blood pressure-lowering benefits at a lower dose.
The medicine works by blocking calcium from entering the smooth muscle cells of blood vessels, which helps the arteries relax and widen. This vasodilation reduces the resistance the heart has to work against, lowering blood pressure and improving blood flow.
NULL is intended for long-term cardiovascular management. Its long half-life helps maintain stable levels in the bloodstream, supporting consistent blood pressure control with once-daily dosing. Compared to some other calcium channel blockers, it is generally associated with a lower risk of ankle swelling (peripheral edema).
By combining effectiveness with better tolerability, NULL is designed to help patients maintain healthy blood pressure and reduce the risk of complications such as heart attack, stroke, and heart failure.
Treatment of high blood pressure to prevent long-term heart and kidney damage.
Management of chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart muscle.
Treatment of Prinzmetal’s or variant angina caused by coronary artery spasms.
Used in patients with documented CAD to reduce the risk of hospitalization for angina.
Helps maintain blood pressure within a healthy range to reduce the risk of stroke.
Purified S-isomer formulation often results in less swelling than standard versions.
Long-acting formula prevents dangerous "spikes" in blood pressure throughout the day.
Reduces the cardiac workload, allowing the heart to pump more efficiently.
Generally does not interfere with blood sugar or cholesterol levels in diabetic patients.
Achieves the same clinical result with half the milligrams of regular amlodipine.
Provides consistent relief from chest pain and tightness during physical activity.
Like all medications, NULL may cause side effects. Not everyone experiences them, and many are mild and manageable.
NULL should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. It is typically taken once daily and can be taken with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. It is important to take the medication at the same time every day to maintain a steady level in your system. Do not stop taking this medication suddenly, even if you feel better; doing so can cause a dangerous spike in blood pressure.
S‑Amlodipine helps control blood pressure and chest pain (angina) by regulating how calcium moves into the muscle cells of the heart and blood vessels. Calcium is essential for muscle contraction, so limiting its entry keeps these muscles more relaxed.
By lowering blood pressure, easing the workload on the heart, and improving blood supply to the heart muscle, S‑Amlodipine supports healthier cardiovascular function.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose (within 12 hours), skip the missed one and continue your regular schedule. Do not take two doses at once to make up for a missed one.
