Dermatitis

In Dermatitis Saliderm F Ointment helps manage the symptoms of dermatitis such as dry, itchy, swollen and red skin. It reduces dryness and keeps the skin hydrated and moisturized. Apply Saliderm F Ointment to the affected area usually up to 3-4 times a day or as directed by your doctor. You may see results after 2-3 weeks however, it may vary from person to person as well as on the severity of the condition.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them.

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and gently massage the ointment.

Saliderm F Ointment is a combination of three medicines: Fluocinolone acetonide, Benzoic Acid and Salicylic Acid. Fluocinolone acetonide is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Benzoic Acid is an antiseptic. Salicylic Acid is a keratolytic medicine which breaks down keratin clumps, removes dead skin cells and softens the skin. It also enhances the absorption of Fluocinolone acetonide into the skin.

Pregnancy

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Saliderm F Ointment may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Saliderm F Ointment is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

If you miss a dose of Saliderm F Ointment, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
