Abdominal pain

In Abdominal pain Spasmorax Tablet effectively relieves sudden muscle spasms or contractions in the stomach and intestine (gut), thereby relaxing the muscles and improving movement of food. This helps to treat abdominal pain (or stomach pain) as well as cramps, bloating and discomfort. Eventually, it will help you to go about your daily activities more easily and have a better, more active, quality of life.

The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them. Spasmorax Tablet is a combination of two medicines: dicyclomine and nimesulide which relieve abdominal pain. Dicyclomine is an anticholinergic which works by relaxing the muscles in the stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms). By doing this, it relieves cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort. Nimesulide is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).

Alcohol

Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Spasmorax Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.

Pregnancy

Seek medical advice from your doctor: Spasmorax Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.

Breast feeding

Seek medical advice from your doctor: Information regarding the use of Spasmorax Tablet during breastfeeding is not available. Doctor consultation is advised.

Driving

Seek medical advice from your doctor: It is not known whether Spasmorax Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.

Kidney

Caution Advised: Spasmorax Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Spasmorax Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. Use of Spasmorax Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

Liver

Not Safe: Spasmorax Tablet is probably unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided. Doctor consultation is advised.

If a dose of Spasmorax Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

Spasmorax Tablet is used to give relief from abdominal pain. Spasmorax Tablet should be taken with, or straight after, a meal or snack. This helps to reduce the risk of stomach upset. Stick to simple meals and avoid spicy rich food in order to avoid feeling sick (nausea). Drink plenty of water while taking Spasmorax Tablet in case you experience diarrhea as its side-effect. Dry mouth may occur as a side effect. Frequent mouth rinses, good oral hygiene, increased water intake and sugarless candy may help. If you develop any new symptoms, or if your symptoms get worse, make an appointment to see your doctor for further advice.
