Osteoporosis

In Osteoporosis Osteoporosis is a common condition that causes bones to become fragile and brittle so that they break (fracture) more easily. Fractures may be painful and restrict a person?s ability to carry out their normal daily tasks. Stoplos Kit reduces the risk of a fracture occurring in osteoporosis. It also helps in the growth and development of bones as well as maintain strong bones. Along with medicines, eat a balanced diet rich in calcium and vitamin D like dairy products, green leafy vegetables etc.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Back pain, Musculoskeletal (bone, muscle or joint) pain, Indigestion, Heartburn, Diarrhea']

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label before use. Stoplos Kit is to be taken empty stomach.

Stoplos Kit is a combination of two medicines: Risedronate and Calcium Carbonate which treat osteoporosis. Risedronate is a bisphosphonate. It works by suppressing the activity of osteoclasts, cells that cause destruction of bone. This strengthens the bone and minimizes the risk of fractures. Calcium Carbonate is a mineral which helps prevent the loss of bone mass.

Alcohol

UNSAFE - It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Stoplos Kit.

Pregnancy

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Stoplos Kit may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Stoplos Kit is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Driving

SAFE - Stoplos Kit does not usually affect your ability to drive.

Kidney

CAUTION - Stoplos Kit should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Stoplos Kit may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Stoplos Kit may not be advised in patients with severe kidney disease.

Liver

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Stoplos Kit is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Stoplos Kit may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Stoplos Kit, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
