Storvas D 20 Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Atorvastatin and Vitamin D3 which treat high cholesterol. Atorvastatin is a lipid-lowering medication (statin). It works by blocking an enzyme (HMG-Co A-reductase) that is required in the body to make cholesterol. It thus lowers "bad" cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides and raises "good" cholesterol (HDL). Vitamin D3 is added to relieve the muscular pain caused by Atorvastatin.

Alcohol

Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Storvas D 20 Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.

Pregnancy

Not Safe: Storvas D 20 Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Seek your doctor's advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby.

Breast feeding

Safe when prescribed by an expert: Storvas D 20 Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Driving

SAFE - Storvas D 20 Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.

Kidney

Safe when prescribed by an expert: Storvas D 20 Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Storvas D 20 Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Doctor consultation is advised.

Liver
