It works by stopping the growth of the bacteria causing the infection.This medicine usually makes you feel better quite quickly. However, you should continue taking it as long as it is prescribed even when you feel better, to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.

How to use Supralide Tablet Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Supralide 150mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

How Supralide Tablet works Supralide 150mg Tablet is an antibiotic. It works by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Thus, it stops the bacteria from growing, and prevents the infection from spreading.

Alcohol

Safe: No harmful side effects are associated with consuming alcohol alongside Supralide 150mg Tablet

Pregnancy

Supralide 150mg Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.

Breast feeding

Supralide 150mg Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.

Driving

Supralide 150mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

Supralide 150mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Supralide 150mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Doctor consultation is advised.

Liver

Supralide 150mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Supralide 150mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

If a dose of Supralide 150mg Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

Your doctor has prescribed Supralide 150mg Tablet to cure your infection and improve your symptoms. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection to come back and harder to treat. Take it 1 hour before or two hours after food. Do not take antacids 2 hours before or after taking Supralide 150mg Tablet. Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it doesn't stop or if you find blood in your stools. Stop taking Supralide 150mg Tablet and inform your doctor immediately if you develop an itchy rash, swelling of the face, throat or tongue or breathing difficulties while taking it.
