How to use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Tamfil Capsule is to be taken with food.
How it works
Tamfil Capsule is an alpha blocker. It works by relaxing the muscles around the bladder exit and prostate gland so urine is passed more easily. This helps empty the bladder completely and reduces the need to pass urine frequently or urgently in BPH.
UNSAFE - Tamfil Capsule may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Tamfil Capsule is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Tamfil Capsule is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby. Tamfil Capsule is not indicated for use in women.
SAFE - Tamfil Capsule does not usually affect your ability to drive.
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Tamfil Capsule is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Tamfil Capsule is recommended. However, limited information is available on the use of Tamfil Capsule in patients with end stage kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
CAUTION - Tamfil Capsule should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Tamfil Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
What if I forget to take it?
If you miss a dose of Tamfil Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
