Telma-MCT 25/6.25 Tablet ER is a combination medicine used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). It works by relaxing the blood vessels and making the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. It also removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. Telma-MCT 25/6.25 Tablet ER can be taken with or without food, but take it at the same time to get the most benefit. It makes you lose excess water through urine, hence try to take it at day time or 4 hours before bedtime to avoid frequent urination at night. It should be taken as your doctor's advice. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms. You should take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed for you. Nausea, taste change, diarrhea and stomach upset are some common side effects of this medicine. How it works
Telma-MCT 25/6.25 Tablet ER is a combination of three medicines: Chlorthalidone, Metoprolol Succinate and Telmisartan which lower blood pressure effectively. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic which removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Over time, it also works by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow. Metoprolol Succinate is a beta blocker that works specifically on the heart to slow down the heart rate, while Telmisartan is a calcium channel blocker which works by blocking the hormone angiotensin to further relax blood vessels.

UNSAFE - It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Telma-MCT 25/6.25 Tablet ER.
Pregnancy
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Telma-MCT 25/6.25 Tablet ER is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
Breast feeding
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Telma-MCT 25/6.25 Tablet ER is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Driving
UNSAFE - Telma-MCT 25/6.25 Tablet ER may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney
CAUTION - Telma-MCT 25/6.25 Tablet ER should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Telma-MCT 25/6.25 Tablet ER may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Telma-MCT 25/6.25 Tablet ER is not recommended in these patients.
Liver
CAUTION - Telma-MCT 25/6.25 Tablet ER should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Telma-MCT 25/6.25 Tablet ER may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Telma-MCT 25/6.25 Tablet ER is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
What If You Forget to take Telma MCT 25/6.25mg Tablet ER 10s?
If you miss a dose of Telma-MCT 25/6.25 Tablet ER, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
