Telma-NB Tablet is a medicine used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). Telma-NB Tablet is a combination of two medicines that helps to control blood pressure when a single medication is not effective. It also helps to reduce chances of any future heart attack and stroke. It is advised to take Telma-NB Tablet at a fixed time each day to maintain consistent levels of medicine in the blood. Keep taking it for as long as advised by your doctor. Even if you feel well, do not stop this medicine on your own because high blood pressure often has no symptoms. If you stop taking it, your condition may get worse. Keeping active with regular exercise, reducing your weight and eating a healthy diet will also help control your blood pressure. Follow your doctor?s advice while taking this medicine. Some common side effects of this medicine include headache, cold extremities, slow heart rate, numbness of extremities, decreased blood pressure, weakness, and increased potassium level in blood. It is advised to avoid potassium rich food and supplements while taking this medicine. It may cause dizziness, avoid driving or rise slowly from the sitting position. Directions for Use

How it works
Telma-NB Tablet is a combination of two blood-pressure lowering medicines: Nebivolol and Telmisartan. Nebivolol is a beta blocker which works specifically on the heart to reduce heart rate and lower blood pressure. Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the hormone angiotensin thereby relaxing blood vessels. Together they allow the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently.

Pregnancy

Breast feeding
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Telma-NB Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Driving
UNSAFE - Telma-NB Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney
CAUTION - Telma-NB Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Telma-NB Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
CAUTION - Telma-NB Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Telma-NB Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Telma-NB Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
What If You Forget to take Telma NB 5/40mg Tablet 10s?
If you miss a dose of Telma-NB Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
