Tinilact 3 Softgels is a combination of three medicines: Clindamycin, Clotrimazole, and Tinidazole, which treats vaginal infections. Clindamycin is an antibiotic which stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by the bacteria to carry out vital functions. Clotrimazole is an antifungal medicine which stops the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their protective covering. Tinidazole is also an antibiotic which kills other infectious microorganisms in addition to bacteria by damaging their DNA.
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Tinilact 3 Softgels may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
CAUTION - Tinilact 3 Softgels should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body. If a single dose of Tinilact 3 Softgels is used, it is recommended to hold breastfeeding for 12-24 hours to allow the removal of the drug.
If you miss a dose of Tinilact 3 Softgels, use it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
