However, you should continue taking it as long as it is prescribed even if you feel better, to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant. This medicine usually makes you feel better quite quickly. Tinipidi Infusion is an antibiotic. It kills the bacteria and other microorganisms that cause infections by damaging their DNA.

Alcohol

UNSAFE - Consuming alcohol while taking Tinipidi Infusion may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heart beat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure (Disulfiram reaction).

Pregnancy

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Tinipidi Infusion may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding

CAUTION - Tinipidi Infusion should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body. If a single dose of Tinipidi Infusion is used, it is recommended to hold breastfeeding for 12-24 hours to allow the removal of the drug.

Driving

UNSAFE - Tinipidi Infusion may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Tinipidi Infusion may make you feel drowsy or gives you problems with coordination or sensation (e.g. numbness or weakness). This may affect your driving ability.

Kidney

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Tinipidi Infusion is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Tinipidi Infusion is recommended.

Liver

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Tinipidi Infusion is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Tinipidi Infusion may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Tinipidi Infusion, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
