Truxofol 7.5 mg/1 mg Tablet stops that from happening and can relieve the symptoms of this condition such as pain, swelling, and stiffness in your joints. It can also slow down joint damage, reduce disability, and enable you to be as active for as long as possible. It may 4-12 weeks take weeks before you notice any benefits. You should continue taking it until your doctor says it is okay to stop using the medicine. Folic acid present in Truxofol 7.5 mg/1 mg Tablet help prevent a folate deficiency.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Nausea, Vomiting, Upset stomach, Weakness, Tiredness, Fever, Dizziness, Decreased white blood cell count, Increased risk of infection']

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Truxofol 7.5 mg/1 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Truxofol 7.5 mg/1 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Methotrexate and Folic Acid. Methotrexate is an anticancer and immunosuppressive medication. It works in cancer by slowing the growth of cancer cells by blocking building blocks that cancer cells need to grow. It also works in autoimmune disease by decreasing the activity of body's immune system and prevents the body from attacking itself. Folic Acid, a form of vitamin B is added to prevent Folic Acid deficiency caused by Methotrexate.

Alcohol

CAUTION - Caution is advised when consuming alcohol with Truxofol 7.5 mg/1 mg Tablet. Please consult your doctor.

Pregnancy

UNSAFE - Truxofol 7.5 mg/1 mg Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Seek your doctor's advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby.

Breast feeding

UNSAFE - Truxofol 7.5 mg/1 mg Tablet is unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby.

Driving

UNSAFE - Truxofol 7.5 mg/1 mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Truxofol 7.5 mg/1 mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Truxofol 7.5 mg/1 mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Liver

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Truxofol 7.5 mg/1 mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Truxofol 7.5 mg/1 mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Truxofol 7.5 mg/1 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
