Pain during menstruation

In Pain during menstruation Twagic Spas Tablet relieves the pain due to muscle cramps during menstrual cycles (periods). It relaxes the muscles and prevents sudden contractions (spasms) of muscles. It also blocks chemical messengers in the brain that are responsible for pain sensation. This helps to treat abdominal pain (or stomach pain) as well as cramps, bloating and discomfort. Take it as it is prescribed to get the most benefit. You may also use a heating pad, take a hot water shower, avoid stress and try mild exercise for easing out the pain. Eventually, it will help you to go about your daily activities more easily and have a better, more active, quality of life.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Twagic Spas Tablet is to be taken with food.

Twagic Spas Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Dicyclomine, Mefenamic Acid and Pamabrom. Dicyclomine is an antispasmodic which works by relaxing the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms) and relieves cramps and bloating. Mefenamic Acid is a non-steroidal antiinflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause pain. Pamabrom is a diuretic which increases urine production to remove excess water from the body and relieve premenstrual symptoms like bloating, water-weight gain, swelling and the feeling of being full.

Alcohol

UNSAFE - It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Twagic Spas Tablet.

Pregnancy

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Twagic Spas Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Twagic Spas Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Driving

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - It is not known whether Twagic Spas Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.

Kidney

CAUTION - Twagic Spas Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Twagic Spas Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver

CAUTION - Twagic Spas Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Twagic Spas Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Twagic Spas Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
