Diagnostic agent

In Diagnostic agent Ultravist 300mg I/ml Injection contains a radiopaque contrast medium indicated for radiographic examination before an x-ray or CT-scan. It helps for better visualisation of the parts where it is injected by a radiologist or a nurse and helps in diagnosing problems in the inside areas that are not visible to the naked eyes. This enables to diagnose the underlying problem and helps to treat you better.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Taste change, Vomiting, Chest pain, Back pain, Nausea, Abnormal vision, Frequent urge to urinate, Vasodilation, Injection site reactions (pain, swelling, redness)']

Iopromide belongs to a class of drugs known as Iodinated radiographic contrast agent. It enhances imaging due to its high Iodine content attenuating the beam of X-rays during examination.

Alcohol

Pregnancy

Breast feeding

Driving

Kidney

Liver

Not applicable. Ultravist 300mg I/ml Injection is given before imaging test, so it is important to take it at the time as advised by the doctor. If you miss the dose, your test results can be inaccurate.
