Visken 10mg Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called beta-blockers. It is used for treating hypertension (high blood pressure) and preventing angina (heart-related chest pain). It reduces blood pressure and helps in preventing future heart attacks and strokes. Visken 10mg Tablet should be taken in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. The dose will depend on what you are being treated for and how you respond to the medicine. You should always take it as it has been prescribed for you. It may be taken with or without food, preferably, at the same time each day. You should keep taking it even if you feel well. You are still getting the benefits. If you stop taking it suddenly, your condition may worsen. The most common side effects are nausea, headache, fatigue, slow heart rate, palpitations, and breathlessness. However, use of Visken 10mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with serious kidney disease. Regular monitoring of blood pressure is advisable for dose adjustment.
Liver
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Visken 10mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Visken 10mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
What If You Forget to take Visken 10mg Tablet?
If you miss a dose of Visken 10mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
