In Respiratory tract infection Respiratory tract infections are those infections that can affect the sinuses, throat, airways or lungs. Waladrox AX 45 mg/500 mg Tablet contains two different medicines, Cefadroxil and Ambroxol, that work together to kill the bacteria that cause respiratory tract infections. Cefadroxil works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Ambroxol helps to loosen thick mucus, making it easier to cough out. This makes it easier for air to move in and out. It also enhances the activity of Cefadroxil against bacteria. It usually makes you feel better within a few days, but you should continue taking it as prescribed even when you feel better to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Diarrhea, Flatulence, Stomach pain, Indigestion']

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Waladrox AX 45 mg/500 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Waladrox AX 45 mg/500 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Ambroxol and Cefadroxil. Ambroxol is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming their own protective covering which is required for their survival. Cefadroxil is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out.

Alcohol

Pregnancy

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Waladrox AX 45 mg/500 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Waladrox AX 45 mg/500 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Driving

UNSAFE - Waladrox AX 45 mg/500 mg Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Waladrox AX 45 mg/500 mg Tablet may cause a headache, dizziness, nervousness, sleeplessness, and fatigue, therefore the ability to drive may be influenced.

Kidney

CAUTION - Waladrox AX 45 mg/500 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Waladrox AX 45 mg/500 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Waladrox AX 45 mg/500 mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Waladrox AX 45 mg/500 mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Waladrox AX 45 mg/500 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
