In Treatment of Sneezing and runny nose due to allergies Wellmont FX Syrup is a combination medicine that provides relief from symptoms such as blocked or runny nose, sneezing and itchy or watery eyes. This will make it easier for you to go about your daily activities. It rarely has any serious side effects and you may only need to take it on days you have symptoms. If you are taking it to prevent getting symptoms you should use it regularly to get the most benefit.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Diarrhea, Vomiting, Skin rash, Flu-like symptoms, Headache, Drowsiness, Dizziness']

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Wellmont FX Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. It works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger called leukotriene. This reduces inflammation (swelling) in the airways and nose and improves symptoms. Fexofenadine is an antiallergic which blocks the action of another chemical messenger (histamine) responsible for runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing.

Alcohol

CAUTION - Caution is advised when consuming alcohol with Wellmont FX Syrup. Please consult your doctor.

Pregnancy

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Wellmont FX Syrup may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Wellmont FX Syrup is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Driving

UNSAFE - Wellmont FX Syrup may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

CAUTION - Wellmont FX Syrup should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Wellmont FX Syrup may be needed. Please consult your doctor. May cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.

Liver

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Wellmont FX Syrup is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Wellmont FX Syrup may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Wellmont FX Syrup, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
