In Local anesthesia (Numb tissues in a specific area) Xynova P Gel is an anesthetic and causes loss of feeling (numbness) of skin on the area of injection. This reduces pain and discomfort. Xynova P Gel is given by doctor or nurse during surgery and other medical and dental procedures. It works by blocking nerve signals in the brain and thus reduces pain sensation.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Rash']

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the gel. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

Xynova P Gel is a combination of two medicines: Prilocaine and Lidocaine. It works by blocking pain signals from the nerves of the affected area to t he brain. This decreases the sensation of pain.

Pregnancy

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Xynova P Gel is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.

Breast feeding

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Xynova P Gel is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
